Kovida Kids Curriculum

Our curriculum focuses on self-regulating thoughts, behavior and emotions in each child. Activities are well planned to enhance the mental processes in children so that they can plan, focus attention, remember instructions, and juggle multiple tasks successfully. The brain needs these skill sets to filter distractions, prioritize tasks, set and achieve goals, and control impulses. Children learn these skills through our exciting, multiple intelligence based curriculum which is set in a stimulating and joyous environment. Carefully planned activities focus in all areas of learning and development. It includes physical, social, emotional, creative, communicative, language, problem solving, reasoning, numeric concepts, knowledge and understanding of the world. This encourages lateral thinking, builds confidence, promotes creativity and encourages the child to learn through trial and error and develop his / her own problem solving skills. At Kovida Kids, we provide and arrange for these experiences, but do not thrust solutions for these problems on the children. The children are allowed to discover the answer themselves through experiments and investigations so as to encourage and promote child centered learning as opposed to teacher directed learning.

A child who sees learning as pleasurable and challenging has a head start in the journey of lifelong learning and looks forward to the varied opportunities to explore and discover the many facets of the world. We provide opportunities for each child to explore their abilities through interactions with their environment. In this way, they develop self and social awareness as well as creative expression alongside development of their language, literacy, numeracy and motor skills.
